The location was excellent just around the corner from Sacrada Famile
Hotel is situated in very comfortable for walking place. Perconal are very thoughtful, breakfast was manifold.
Friendly, very clean, good location and good facilities. Overall, the hotel can be recommended
The staff at Ayre Hotel were very friendly and kind. It's a cozy hotel where you feel comfortable. So close the underground station and the Sagrada Familia you feel connected to the city center easily.
I didn't like the the rooms with the inside view, it's like living in a dark box.
The hotel was great specially the employees tried to help us in any way they can, the breakfast was very good also i recommend the hotel to anyone
The design is great, very Art Deco style. I love the lamp in the room which creates a lovely pattern on the ceiling when lit up. Seems gaudi inspired. Overall the design if the room is lovely though lacking in comfort.
The rooms do not have security lock from the inside, so there is no security latch from the inside. Plus, the rooms do not have a keyhole to the door so if someone is knocking on your door, you cannot verify through the keyhole who it is. This is very odd as I have never been in a hotel which has no keyholes on their doors. Given that the doors don't have keyholes plus there is no security latch from the inside, it is unsafe, especially for single (female) travelers. If I had not paid for it in full via Booked.net and non refunds, I would have moved to another hotel upon discovering the absence if keyhole and security latch. I had booked a twin/double room with a good view but upon check-in was told that I had to pay additional EUR25 per night for a room facing the Sagrada. I thought this to be ridiculous and ultimately has to settle for a room which did not face the Sagrada. The hotel is badly maintained with scuff marks on furniture and poor quality finishings. The hotel does not provide facial tissues, hair conditioner (shampoo yes but no conditioner), no toothbrush. Some of the basic necessities such as these aren't provided. I had to buy a box of facial tissues and a bottle of conditioner for use during my entire 10 day stay. Also, no bedroom slippers were given. Given the uncarpeted wooden floor, my feet were freezing. I asked for a pair of bedroom slippers and was told that I would be charged EUR5 for it. While the hotel is located near the sagrada familia, there is nothing much to do or see around the sagrada area. All other places of interest are very far away from this hotel. In future, I would rather stay around plaza Catalunya or la ramblas areas.
The roof terrace was amazing. The location was fantastic. It had everything that we needed and was good value for money.
The food in the bar was expensive and not really very good.
Location and general facilities
No soap in the bathroom. No restaurant after hours. If this cannot be used for complaints, where can I write them? Just in case, I was charged 11 Euros for a 30 seconds telephone call to the us. When we left (29 January) we did not use the breakfast we paid. I expect that the cost of 2 breakfasts will be credited for my visa credit card.
The location. If you take the room with view then the view. Friendly staff.
The bed was a complete disaster it wasn't comfortable at all after the first night my back starting haveing pain problemes, plus it has wheels so it moves while your sleeping. There were no hot water to make tea or coffee (but you could ordre hot water from room service). In the night and in the morning you could hear the people comes and goes so it gets noisy sometimes.
Location manly and top roof terrace with bar.
Hotel did not have bar fridge working and we did not get water supply each day.
From the roof top terrace, you could see the La Sagrada Familia and fantastic views of Barcelona!
I wish they would have advertised the sauna better, did not know it was there until we were ready to leave, so were not able to enjoy!
The location, designing of the hotel, the terrace, hotel stuff is gr8
Small rooms, everyday the koncked my door more than one time all that while I have (do not disturb) on it, the internet is bad and slow all the time.
Staff was nice but I would say this is a minimum.
This is not a 4* hotel. It could be a 2* or 3* as a maximum. Room is very small, extremely noisy (no soundproofing). I will not recommend this hotel, for sure! I can hardly imagine the disappointment of a couple booking this hotel for a romantic trip in Barcelona.. Which you could imagine from the web site and photos (!) they would face disillusion. Absolutely avoid any room number 1 and 2 on each floor (101/102; 201/202... look like staff room)
Good value for money
We booked two double rooms for 2 nights and in one we had an extra bed, therefore 1 of the rooms was occupied by 2 people and the other by 3. However we think that it is unfair to be charged an a whole price of 1 person as the room facilities were shared between 3. I feel that they should be charging a little less so for example if the double room costs £100 then that £50 per person, and this hotel charged £150 for the same room occupied by 3 people whereas they should charge less i.e. £120ish for the whole room as 3 people are sharing the same space as 2 people.
Hotel is in great location, everything is new and clean, stuff is very professional, location is perfect. I would recomend this hotel to everyone.
